The Ultimate Warhammer Experience at Arc40k


Arc40k, the Premier Warhammer 40,000 Event in Australia, is about to commence! With over 300 enthusiastic hobbyists coming from all corners of the nation, it promises to be an electrifying weekend full of thrilling competition and a showcase of some of the best Warhammer hobby work in the country.


The venue opens its doors to the participants of Arc40k at 8:00 am on Saturday. Participants must register on the ArcScore system to gain entry to the gaming hall, where the atmosphere is expected to be teeming with excitement and anticipation.


At 9:00 am, the Opening Ceremony begins, marking the official start of the Weekend.

This will be followed by the first round of the tournament, which starts at 9:15 am. Each round lasts 2 hours and 15 minutes, making the tournament a fast-paced and dynamic event.


At 10:00 am, registration for the ArcOpen Painting Competition begins - Don‘t worry if you can’t get to the ArcOpen registration straight away - it will be open all day.


The doors will open to the general public from 10.00am as well. This provides visitors an opportunity to witness the outstanding work of the participants and meet the judges of the competition. From intricately designed models to beautifully painted armies, visitors can expect to see a wide range of hobby work and all the gaming hall action.


Parade of Armies: 11.30 pm

At 11:30 pm, the Parade of Armies begins, one of the highlights of the day. Participants and visitors will have the chance to view some of the finest Warhammer 40k Armies and Hobby work in the country, giving visitors a glimpse into the competition and the incredible effort that goes into each army.


Lunchtime is set for 12:00 pm, with Arc40k entrants gaining a priority to registration for their ArcOpen entries.


The Round 2 of the tournament starts at 12:45 pm, with the viewing of ArcOpen entries open to the general public. The rest of the afternoon features additional rounds of the tournament, with breaks between each round for players to catch their breath and plan their next move.


Round 3 of the tournament begins at 3:30 pm, with each round intensifying the competition and raising the level of tension in the room. At 4:00 pm, registration for the ArcOpen competition closes, and the tournament continues into the late afternoon. The Hangout closes at 5:00 pm, with doors closing to the general public at 5:15 pm.


DAY 2

The second day starts at 8:00 am for all participants of the Arc40k tournament. At 8:45 am, the day is introduced, followed by the opening of the ArcOpen HangOut at 9:00 am, with the general audience being welcome to come in.


ArcOpen Judging: 9.00 am

Round 4 of the Arc40k tournament starts promptly at 9:00 am, while the judges of the ArcOpen competition will be evaluating entries and determining the Gold, Silver, and Bronze level winners. Also comecing from 9.00am is the ArcOpen Judging. Guests and competitors can watch what’s going on but won’t be able to get too close while each category is decided over the next 3 hours.


At 11:00 am, Arc40k participants will enjoy a much-needed early lunch break. Round 5 of the tournament starts at 12:00 pm, with the ArcOpen entries being open for viewing. Visitors will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite entry in the People's Choice award.


ArcOpen Awards: 2.15 pm

The awards ceremony for the ArcOpen competition starts at 2:15 pm, in alignment with a half-hour break for the Arc40k tournament.


Round 6, the final round of the tournament, starts at 2:45 pm.


At 4:45 pm, the ArcOpen HangOut closes, and the doors close to the general audience shortly after. Participants can then start packing up, starting with their own miniatures but also helping with clearing all the tabletops, packing scenery and loading everything into the truck for transport.


Arc40k Awards Ceremony: 5.30pm

The awards ceremony for the Arc40k tournament starts at 5:30 pm, where a multitude of awards and prizes will be announced, including Veteran awards, our Hall of Fame inductees, Player’s Choice, Most Sporting Player, Best General - all leading up to the crowning of the Overall Champion - the highest honour of the weekend. It’s a tense and exciting time were everyone gets to be involved and celebrate a weekend spent together play our favorite game.
