The Team at ArcOpen and ArcFest are thrilled to announce that Victoria Lamb is returning as a judge for ArcOpen 2025!

Signing on for her third consecutive year, Victoria has been an integral part of our judging team, bringing her vast experience, keen eye for detail, and deep understanding of miniature painting to the competition.
Victoria is a renowned miniature painter and one of the most respected names in the hobby. She is best known for her pioneering work in object source lighting (OSL), a technique that has influenced painters around the world. With Golden Demon and Crystal Brush awards to her name, Victoria’s expertise and artistic vision have made her a highly sought-after judge in the Australian painting scene.
Having judged ArcOpen since its inception, Victoria has played a key role in shaping the standards of the competition. She brings not only technical knowledge but also a passion for storytelling and creativity in miniature painting.
Her feedback has helped countless painters improve their craft, and we are honored to have her return for another year.
As ArcOpen continues to grow, Victoria’s presence ensures that the competition remains fair, inspiring, and artistically rewarding for all participants.
Whether you’re a first-time entrant or a seasoned competitor, having your work evaluated by one of the best in the industry is an incredible opportunity.
Welcome back, Victoria! We can’t wait to see what this year’s competition brings under your expert eye.
A little more about Victoria and her Miniatures:
Victoria has been a dynamic force in the miniature hobby, creating iconic and influential pieces that transcend traditional expectations.

In 2001, she secured the prestigious Golden Demon Slayer Sword at the Australian Golden Demon in Sydney for her remarkable diorama: “The Rescue of Sister Joan.”
This masterpiece not only won accolades but also catapulted the technique of Object Source Lighting (OSL) into the world spotlight, making Victoria a real trailblazer in the international miniature painting community.
Venturing beyond painting and converting miniatures, Victoria established her own range of models, Victoria Miniatures, in 2009. The range boasts a diverse collection of models, each telling a unique and compelling story through futuristic soldiers.
As we approach ArcFest, stay tuned for more exciting announcements regarding what we have planned including details about onsite activities and competitions, prize support, demonstrations, and displays.
