The Guild’s Inn 2024

A Weekend Dedicated to Miniature Painting Excellence!

We’re all barely over the whirlwind of competition and community that was ArcOpen…

But if you enjoyed the Arc-experience then prepare yourself for an immersive, interactive and vibrant weekend at The Guild's Inn, the next premier painting event in the Australian calendar.

It’s hosted by the Sydney Display Painters Guild. Set to take place on July 27-28, 2024, at the Sydney Display Painters Guild headquarters in Artarmon, northern Sydney, The Guild's Inn promises to be a commune together of the community.

From the painting competition, hobby activities to jam sessions, speed painting competitions to social hangouts, this event is designed to bring together painters from all levels of the miniature painting community and share in an amazing experience.

A Gathering of Hobby Enthusiasts

At its core, The Guild's Inn is a not-for-profit event run by volunteers who are passionate about fostering connections within the miniature painting community.

With a growing community spread far and wide across Australia, opportunities for face-to-face interactions are often scarce. The Guild's Inn aims to change that by creating a fun and inclusive environment where painters can come together, share their work, discuss techniques, and revel in the being a gathering of fellow hobbyists.

National Painting Competition: Standard and Masters Categories

Winners from the Guilds Inn event 2023. Cassandra James (Speed Painting), David Colwell (Best at show), and Storm Hajnal (People’s Choice).

A highlight of The Guild's Inn is the prestigious national painting competition - which will now feature two distinct categories - Standard and Masters.

Whether you're a novice looking to showcase your budding talent or a seasoned veteran aiming for the top prize, there's a category tailored to your skill level.

Participants will have the opportunity to submit their entries for judging over the weekend, with medals awarded based on the standard of painting achieved.

Introducing the Guild's Inn Gallery

In addition to the painting competition, The Guild's Inn will debut the Guild's Inn Gallery—a special showcase of past entries and works that participants are proud of but don't wish to be judged. This curated display offers attendees the chance to admire a diverse array of talent and creativity within the community, free from the pressures of competition.

Join the Festivities

Attendance at The Guild's Inn is open to all who have a passion for miniature painting. For those looking to fully immerse themselves in the weekend's activities, a variety of ticket options are available:

  • Room at the Inn: For just $15 per person, attendees gain access to the painting lounge, where they can enjoy drinks, snacks, and participate in the Speed Painting Competition.

  • Guild's Inn Painting Competition: Entry costs $5 per submission, with no limit to the number of entries allowed. Competitors will have the chance to vie for medals in their chosen category.

  • Creative Jam Sessions: Priced at $25 per ticket, these sessions offer participants the opportunity to explore their creativity under the guidance of experienced painters. Limited spots are available, so be sure to secure your place early.

Immerse Yourself in Creativity

The heart of The Guild's Inn lies in its ability to provide a platform for artists to come together, share their passion, and inspire one another to new heights of creativity. Whether you're a seasoned painter or just starting out, The Guild's Inn invites you to join us for a weekend filled with artistic expression, camaraderie, and the joy of miniature painting. Mark your calendars and get ready to experience the magic of The Guild's Inn!
