Acromunda is our narrative Necromunda Campaign tournament we run each year. This year will be the 4th instalment and it is time to recap how the story has been developing over the past events and where we are headed for this year.
Chapter 1: Deep in the Underhive, a newly opened habitation dome was discovered and revealed to contain a strange mineral called Arcronite. This mineral emits an energy-draining effect but is highly valuable, triggering a gold rush amongst Underhive gangs who rush to stake their claims.
Chapter 2: The intense struggle for control over Arcronite resulted in the deaths of thousands of citizens and gang members. Unbeknownst to the inhabitants, Arcronite energies reanimate the dead, leading to a zombie horde that overruns the settlement. Amid the chaos, the dome is shattered, but a few survivors manage to find an escape route that leads out into the ash waste.
Chapter 3: Taking advantage of the uncovered escape route, the remaining inhabitants of the Arcomunda make their way into the ash waste using makeshift vehicles and any transport they can assemble. The Underhive gangs, mixed with the fleeing populace, establish criminal enterprises and capture territories in the waste. Eventually, they discover a forgotten hive and decide to establish a new home, Arcromunda Secondus Dome.

Chapter 4 : In the newly established Arcromunda Secondus Dome, prosperity has become the norm. The settlers, having escaped the horrors of their previous home, are beginning to thrive. Markets bustle with trade, industries flourish, and a semblance of order is taking root. The once lawless gangs of the Underhive find themselves in an uneasy peace, focusing on building their power bases and carving out territories in this new environment. However, the success of Arcromunda Secondus has not gone unnoticed. Far above in the lofty spires of the upper hive of hive Primus, powerful family crime syndicates view the newfound prosperity with greedy eyes. The resources, particularly the remaining Arcronite carried by the survivors, are too valuable to be left in the hands of the Underhive rabble. Syndicate leaders, cloaked in wealth and influence, have begun plotting ways to take control of the lucrative assets emerging from the Secondus Dome. These upper hive syndicates have initiated clandestine operations, sending envoys to broker alliances with the most influential Underhive gangs. Promises of wealth, power, and advanced weaponry have been made to entice gang leaders into cooperation. In return, the gangs would help the syndicates establish a foothold in Arcromunda Secondus, securing control over the resources and ensuring the continued flow of wealth to the upper hive. Amidst these secretive machinations, tensions have begun to simmer within the Secondus Dome. The fragile peace among the gangs has threatened to fracture as old rivalries resurfaced, spurred on by the syndicates' manipulations. Skirmishes are breaking out in the streets as alliances are tested and territories are contested. The populace, once hopeful, are now faced the grim reality that their new home is becoming a battleground once again. Yet, not all are willing to succumb to the syndicates' influence. Resistance has begun to form, comprised of settlers and some gang leaders who see through the deceit and seek to protect their hard-won home. These rebels aim to uncover the syndicates' plots and rally the people of Arcromunda Secondus to stand against the external threat.
As the next chapter opens, the stage is set for a conflict that will determine the future of Arcromunda Secondus. The battle lines are drawn between the syndicates and their gang allies on one side, and the determined resistance on the other. The struggle for control over the precious Arcronite and the fate of Secondus Dome is about to begin, with the hopes and dreams of its inhabitants hanging in the balance.
